Love, Kannon: Our Pilgrimage to Tokyo

In December 2015, Lee Gowan and Ranjini George travelled from opposite sides of the earth, Gowan flying West and George flying East, to meet in Tokyo, Japan.

There they embarked on The Tokyo 33-Kannon Pilgrimage, a winding journey that took them to every corner of that remarkable city as they visited 33 Buddhist temples dedicated to Kannon, the goddess of compassion.

These entries constitute a visual and literary record of their pilgrimage, and a record of the story of their journey from opposite sides of the earth to a home in one another.
